Media Center

So we had a rough nights’ sleep last, all four of us really, and so I accidentally slept through my alarms. I usually wake up at 6am, Jeff shortly after that, and the girls by 6:45, and then we’re all out the door by 7:30am. However today, I hopped up in a panic right at 7:30, after oversleeping by an hour and a half!

We rushed like crazy though, and got Jeff and the girls out the door in just 17 short minutes, and they made it to school literally right as the warning bell rang. Then I took my time getting ready and finally made it to work at 9am.

Then Jeff had a doctor’s appointment, and afterwards he parked at the super chargers down near Cascades Park to charge up his car, which was conveniently right behind the Lucky Goat on South Adams. And so he got me an iced PB&J latte and dropped it off at my office 🙂

For dinner tonight, I sauteed a bunch of peppers and onions, and air fried some tater tots, and used those frozen Steak-ums (or whatever they’re called), to make Philly cheese steak sandwiches. And although the girls actually loved this, and both cleaned their plates, I actually wasn’t a huge fan. Definitely not worth making these at home, if you ask me…

Finished this puzzle late last night, with a little help from Jeff to round out the last few postage stamp sections. And now I have it set aside to share with my Mama! I actually thrifted this one like a year and a half ago, and never got around to doing it. But, I did discover one piece is missing, so my Mama won’t be a fan of that, actually!

But I’m in such a puzzle mood lately, I had to go ahead and get started on the next one tonight after dinner.

When it was time for bed, Addie wanted Mama to read her this book she brought home from school. This was the first book she got to check out from her new school library, which she quickly corrected me saying, “No mama, the media center.” Which is yes, specifically what they call it. And she also told me the rules about no water near the book and not getting the book wet and taking good care of it. So at least she was listening to the librarian at school!

Emmie and Addie both fell asleep very easily tonight, so bedtime was quick and easy breezy. Need to go wash up some dishes real quick, before I can relax for a little bit…
