Little Golden Books

Emerson’s class got to do a classroom camp-out today, with fun little tents over their desks. They could wear jammies, and bring in blanket & stuffies, and they just had a fun, easy day! And Addison was just happy to have her little baggie of Nutter Butter cookies for breakfast 😉

I had my annual physical with my general practitioner doctor today, at 11:30am. So then afterwards, I took myself on a little lunch date to Pitaria for a delicious Greek grilled lamb salad, plus a side of hummus. And I actually finished reading my Kindle book while I was there too.

We had a hodge-podge of things for our dinner tonight, because I didn’t have as much canned chicken as I thought. So I still made chicken salad sandwiches for myself and Jeff (mine on the Keto bread), but the girls had a mix of leftovers, and those little microwave mac & cheese cups. They both hopped in the bath after dinner and I worked on cleaning up my closet while they cleaned up themselves. I also cleaned out a couple of old purses, found some gift cards (gotta check to see if there’s anything on them), and also found some ultrasounds of Emerson from 2017!

Over the weekend, I put all of my Little Golden Book collection into a cute little fabric basket I had lying around. So every night, Addie has been picking the next book and we read it together at night. I’ve collected these since I was a kid. I love finding them at thrift stores and Little Free Library’s, and buying the brand new ones for the girls as gifts for birthday and Christmas. I love this little collection I’ve got, and I love the Addie loves reading them with me right now!

And while I was reading the Trolls book to Addie Pie, Emmie girl and Pennie were reading Paddington together in her bed.

And sweet little Pennie girl stayed there and let Emmie fall asleep with her leg propped up on her back.

I had a really rough night’s sleep last night, so I really need to head off to bed at a decent time, and hopefully sleep better tonight…
