Let’s Grow Together

Today was the first time ever that I’ve had to get both girls dressed and ready for school all by myself, and get them both to their separate schools. And we did a great job getting ready and out the door! And look at these two cuties, just casually holding hands in the car together 🙂

We did Emerson’s car-line-drop-off first, at her request, so she could make it to the cafeteria in time for breakfast.

Then I took Addie Pie to daycare, just in time for her to sit down at breakfast too.

Meanwhile, Jeff and his parents were up early, to watch Ryan in his very early-morning rifle competition today.

I had another giant, delicious homemade Mediterranean Tuna Salad like I made for our dinner the other night. I couldn’t even finish the whole thing though, because it was just too much, but it was super yummy.

And this cold coffee and my fave granola bar is the perfect afternoon snack around 3pm when I start getting too sleepy.

My work bestie Heather recently got a promotion, and today was her last day in our unit, before she moves to her new position in her new office. I got her this cute little “Let’s Grow Together” art work to hang on her wall, because I know she loves plants. Then as a unit, we also got her this beautiful trio of real plants for her new office too, so the whole theme just fit so well together. I’m gonna miss her being in our unit and being my counterpart, but she’s just moving down the hall 😉

A few cute little pictures of Addison Laurel at school today…

After work and school, I picked up both girls, and we met up with the family at Sonny’s for dinner, followed by Lofty Pursuits for ice cream afterwards.

Once we got home, we had a video call with these four out in the backwoods of the AL/GA state line, and the girls were so excited to see them all at one time.

Emerson was already super sleepy, but Addison was goofy and wild. Addie came over and booped Emmie on the nose oh-so-softly, and then shrieked with laughter and climbed all over her. Emmie sleepily whine, “But why doesn’t Addie have to be so crazy when I’m so sleepy?” I reminded her that she’s usually the one who’s still so crazy… But then Emmie actually fell asleep right there on the couch again tonight, before I even got Addie to sleep.

And now I’m freezing cold and I need to go bundle up (and check to make sure the heat is on in the house!), while I watch some Netflix, and then read before bedtime.
