Around the World in 60 Minutes

The tiniest cutie girl before school this morning.

And big sister being a silly pants!

Today, Jeff and his parents drove up to the Fort Benning Army base, to watch Ryan compete in the national rifle team competition, with his JROTC program. He’s been competing all year, and we’re proud he made it to Nationals! Today was just practice, and the real competition is tomorrow.

A few pictures of Addison at school today…

And tonight, Grammy went with us to the annual Growing Room Travels Around the World event at the daycare. Each classroom represents a different country, and the teachers and parents bring in food from that culture. Then you go around the world in 60 minutes visiting all the rooms and sampling all the food, and it’s so much fun! The kids all make little passports at school too, with their photo and everything, and they stamp them in every country. The last time we did this was in 2020, just before the pandemic, so we were very excited to do it again this year! Let me see if I can remember all the countries: Australia, Italy, South Africa, China, Mexico, Dominican Republic (voted favorite foods of the night by both my mom & myself), Mexico, Greece, Japan, Jamaica, France, Poland and Brazil.

The girls both had a snack and some milk when we got home, and then some cough medicine too (they both have coughs, but no other cold symptoms), and then luckily I was able to get them both to sleep, without too much issue. Now I’m just praying, praying, praying they both stay asleep all through the night!

I’m in desperate need of some super cold ice water now (haven’t had enough water to drink today), and maybe a snack for myself. Then I’m gonna settle in with my blanket and some Netflix, put my feet up and relax!
