Korean Coffee

These little girlies are just the prettiest girls I’ve ever seen, dressed up so nice and beautiful for church this morning! Addie was very proud of her little piggy today too 🙂

I wasn’t actually serving anywhere this morning, so I was able to just sit in the congregation and attend church like “regular.” Megan was singing on the worship team today though, so we actually got to sit together for the rest of the service, which is also rare. Jeff was working the production board in GC Kids, so he took this photo during song time.

We went out to lunch at 4Rivers with our entire Connect Group, which was about 20 grown ups and an enumerable amount of kiddos 😆 And since I was busy either wrangling kids, or eating bbq ribs, I didn’t take any photos. Then we had choir rehearsal back at the church (Jeff and the girls went on home) with the whole band and all the vocalists on the worship team, but I didn’t take any photos. Then I went back through the same car wash from a couple of nights ago, because I hadn’t been happy with the cleanliness of my car, so they wrote down my name & number that night and said I could come back. And this time, it came out much better. Then I picked up a small order from Walmart (mostly dog food, plus a couple things), and also ran into Publix to get the ponzu sauce that Walmart nor the Asian grocery store had.

I had a little 45-minute rest time in bed, just scrolling on my phone and enjoying lounging in the dark, cool room all by myself. Around 4:15, I got up and put myself to work, but first I had a little at-home latte. I got this canned latte from the Asian grocery store the other night, and I added some of my new favorite oatmilk creamer to it, and it was really yummy. Apparently it’s a Korean coffee called Lotte Cantata. I think it was only a few dollars, so definitely worth it.

I did sit down to puzzle for a few minutes while I drank my coffee, and Elsa helped me out a little, while she ate one of the tiny apples I picked up on BOGO at Publix. (BOGO bags of apples, not just two individual apples…)

The girls then helped me clean up the living room again after they had made a mess playing, and Jeff put the quilt on our bed into the washer. He was also doing some sort of something to fix our shower, but I couldn’t really explain all that… I tried out a new recipe for dinner tonight, so once I got that into the oven (with the rice going in the rice cooker), Emerson and I tackled washing the dishes together. And this dinner turned out very good. I knew I would be the only one to like/eat the “rice salad” from the recipe, so I made a huge pot of rice, and just portioned out enough for me, and the others ate plain rice. But I loved it! So much unique flavor, with the crunch from the peanuts and the coolness of the cucumber. Loved it!

I worked on my puzzle a lot more after dinner, and then got all the leftovers put away. I went to the back of the house to take care of a few things for a while, and when I came back, these two little girls had both fallen asleep all curled up on the couch together.

But I made space for myself on the very end of the couch so I could work on my puzzle, and this tiny tot came over to help me. (And you guys, I’m not just saying that, she actually is good at puzzles, without any help from me!) And together, we actually finished it! This cutie even put in the last few pieces all on her own. This one turned out to be surprisingly easier than I expected. The sectioned-off colors made it easy to find exactly which piece you were looking for, especially since I had already sorted them all out by color.

Emerson woke up just long enough to brush her teeth and clean her retainers, and then she all but passed out immediately once she made it to her bed. And Addison was still wide awake, but looking adorable with this little Ariel she’s been carrying around all day.

I already laid out Addie’s clothes for the upcoming week, but I need to find her lunchbox and get that ready for tomorrow as well. Our quilt is also still in the dryer, so gotta grab that out before bedtime, since we just put my favorite couch blanket on the bed for now…
