I’ve Got a Jar of Soup

I don’t really feel “like” talking too much tonight, as I’ve been talking to my four-year-old for approximately 27 days straight at this point… or so it feels like it We didn’t do too much today, and of course barely even left the house, so there’s not real need for much writing to be done tonight…

Nana stopped by late yesterday afternoon with a carport drop-off of goodies for Emmie (and me!), homemade chicken noodle soup, plus juice & ginger ale.

I can’t help but sing-song, “I’ve got a jar of soo-oop!” (Anyone get my reference?! I used to be absolutely obsessed with these movies.)

So of course we had that delicious soup for lunch today!

I had a whopping ten minutes after getting Emerson down for her nap, before Addison woke up again, but this spread would have been my down-time today. I did still put on the “foot mask” which was crazy but cool, and my feet are smoother now.

Little princess sat around eating caramel popcorn while I gave her a pedicure…

Y’all know she picked out her own colors and told me which foot to paint which color.

Finally hung some more things we’ve been putting off – my friend Britteny made this “P” sign for us as a Christmas gift, and we’ve wanted to hang the ukulele’s over the keyboard for about a year now…

Jeff took Emerson outside to play for about an hour, while I stayed inside and held Addison for a nap, because she only wanted to sleep with me, instead of in her crib.

He took tons of these fun slow-mo videos, and I picked the best ones to edit together in another super cute little video. I love this one today too!

Ordered cheesesteaks for dinner from Max’s (just made a grilled cheese for Emmie at her request), and Jeff went out & picked them up for us.

I fed Addie another bottle and got her to sleep, and Jeff and Emmie cuddled and watched Matilda, and then we got both girls in bed. Today was another good day, but I think we need to get out of the house a little more again tomorrow. I think we’re going to try to harvest our orange tree tomorrow, so we’re hoping for nice weather for that activity!
