Nana found this little $5 ice cream dress for Addie at Walmart last week, and Emmie had this dress from last summer. And they were so perfect together, little ice cream girlies with cute cardigans too.
Emerson made me this cute little card in church last week, and she specifically requested that I put it up in my office.
We needed to make a super fast run into the library after work and school tonight, to pick up a few books I had on hold, so I could take at least one (or three) on vacation next week. And the girls both picked out a few books too of course.
Jeff was outside investigating around the yard when we got home, and found a nest under our shed that he thinks is an armadillo. So while we were eating dinner, he was looking up info and the girls were very interested to see what kind of animal he was talking about and what kind of nests they dig in the dirt.
Jeff and Addie ran to CVS to grab some Sudafed after dinner, and Emerson and I finished packing up the girls’ clothes for vacation. We just need to find some socks for both girls in the load of laundry we washed last night, then all their clothing is done. (We’ll still have to deal with a bunch of other odds & ends later this week.)
For bedtime, I read Addison a simple little lift-the-flap book, and Emerson actually finished that book she just got at the thrift store yesterday.
I’m gonna try to get started packing up some clothes for myself now, and see what else I can pack this far in advance. We don’t leave until Saturday, but I’m trying to do a little bit each night so that Friday night isn’t totally chaotic and stressful…
