Greek & Italian

So although Growing Room did their breast cancer week earlier this month, today was the actual “Go Pink Tally” day for the rest of town, so we all wore our pink again today, and did our picture in front of this bright pink wall at school this morning!

I actually took Addison back to the doctor’s office again this morning, because her diaper rash hasn’t gotten better after two weeks on the last prescription. So they put her on two new prescription creams, and hopefully we can get it all cleared up soon. We were back to school around 8:15 though, and Grandmommie was very helpful, picking up the prescription around 9:30 and taking it to school for them to get it put on her for the first round.

My friend heather and I went out to Yasou Cafe today, to try out this newest Greek restaurant. I wanted to try about eight different things on the menu, but went with the classic gyro with fries, and got the dolmades to share for an appetizer. And while I didn’t actually love (or really even like) the dolmades, that gyro was the biggest, and probably the best, gyro I’ve ever had! I actually only ate half of it, because I was stuffed way too full to finish! Heather got the lamb burger, and she said she loved it too.

We both had Starbucks gift cards, so we picked up some drinks on the way back to work, and this was super yummy. I pretty much never even go to Starbucks usually, so I ordered one that’s been hyped up on TikTok, and it was so good – vanilla sweet cream cold brew with caramel drizzle and vanilla sweet cream cold foam.

Both girls had a good day today – Emerson did some science experiments, and did some taste-test experiments, and Addie just played all day!

This was the lemon juice taste test!

But then they also got to taste test lemon pudding!

Meg sent me this photo from when they picked up the triplets today, and ran into Emerson in the hallway. She said Ellie walked up to her and said, “How was your day, Emmie? I love you!”

We met up with Nana after work for dinner at Riccardo’s for some Italian food. We shared a big Chef’s salad, and a sausage and pepperoni pizza, and we ordered the secret bread to go with it, because I couldn’t not get the amazing secret bread. I had so much delicious food today!

And while we were sitting there eating our bread, these folks were seated at the table catty-corner from us! Neither of our families knew the other was coming, but it was great running into them “out in the wild!” Emerson kept going back and forth between both tables, eating her noodles at our table, and the ham off their pizza, and carrying her bread back and forth with her.

Jeff and Emerson went through DQ to get Blizzard’s after dinner, and I brought the little baby sister home to get her ready for bed, because girlfriend was exhausted.

Emerson got to stay up late and do “daddy cuddle times” in our bed tonight, before heading off to bed for her sleep time. I was very glad that both girls were in bed, and there were no dishes to wash, and I got to just relax and take it easy. We have had lots of busy weekends in a row for the last 5-6 weeks, but we don’t have any plans tomorrow, and I’m actually very glad for that too. We have some chores to do around the house, but we’ll get to take it easy and finish some things we’ve been too busy to handle.
