I gave myself another little blog break last night, after a late night at church, and getting Emerson back home from camp… But today, things are getting back to normal, with Addie spending the day at camp, and Emmie spending the day with Grandmommie.

This was at the end of the day, when Addie and I met back up with Grandmommie and Emmie, before heading back home.

We had some Gorton’s air-fried fish filets tonight, with the lemon dill sauce we got at IKEA a couple of weeks ago, plus some veggies on the side. Emerson ended up eating FOUR of those fish pieces, and Addie cleaned her whole plate, and then cleaned up the rest of the veggies from Emmie’s plate too.

OK so for Emmie’s birthday when she turned 7 (I think), I got her this tiny little stuffed Pretzel dog, that she loved so much. But then it went missing, and we searched everywhere we could think of for it, and never found it. So then I had to reorder her a new one. Well then tonight, it magically reappeared again, and Addie and Emmie were just squealing and both so excited! So Emmie gave one to Addie, and now they both have a Pretzel. But Addie tried to re-name hers “Leia” but Emmie and I didn’t love that, even though it’s a cute name.

Emerson talked me into letting her stay up later than usual tonight, since we have a free day tomorrow. Addie’s camp is closed, so I took the day off work to take care of both of them. So we watched an episode of celebrity Wheel of Fortune (with three of the cast from New Girl!) and she cleaned the polish off my toe nails for me 😆 This is the second episode of this we’ve watched lately. She’s so smart, and so good at puzzles and word-games, and she loves it, just like I do! Gotta get her into more game shows and games, so she can be my little game buddy as she keeps growing.

She had a little bit of a hard time falling asleep tonight, because she finally put her retainers back in, after not wearing them for 9 days, basically since right before she broke her arm last week. And so it was just as painful again as the first time, so she was just struggling with that. Unfortunately, the only way to make it better is to just wear them (plus meds, which we had already done), so I forced her to settle down and fall asleep wearing them.
She actually fell asleep on the couch, not her bed, so I need to go relocate her, and then paint my nails, now that Emmie got them prepped for me 🙂
