So, yesterday, on Monday, I skipped my daily blog, because I fell asleep on the couch at 8pm, before Addison was even asleep! I only had one picture of each girl from yesterday anyways, so we didn’t miss out on much there… So, on to today, Tuesday! Addie has started getting a little better at East Hill drop-off. As evidenced by the fact that we actually got a picture!
And let’s fast-forward to dinner time now. I put everything in the crock-pot this morning for some chicken taco soup. Or technically, it was a Pioneer Woman recipe, and she calls it chicken tortilla soup. I was very annoyed with that lime though, because it was hard as a rock and completely dry. I literally could not get even one drop of lime juice out of it

Regardless of the stupid limes though, I topped it with cheese, sour cream, avocado, and my current obsession, these garlic pepper crispy onion strips. YUM!

Addie ate half of her meal perched on her little stool like this, instead of just sitting down. We’ve been watching “The Prince of Egypt” with her a little bit every night the past few nights, and she’s been super into it. We finished it tonight, and it was just as good as I knew it would be! Mom, Meg and I used to listen to that soundtrack on repeat way back in the day, over and over and over. So of course I was signing along to the whole movie, especially “When You Believe,” which we sang in middle school church choir, Hebrew language and all, and I still remember every single word and note.

I ordered the next round of books for our book club, picked out by my sister this time. And since Book Outlet was having a sale for $5.99 on some of their most popular books, I also added a couple more for myself 🙂 I love being the book dealer for our book club girls 😁

Addison built herself a little blanket house on top of the coffee table tonight, and then put on her sister’s mermaid tail, which she loves to wear pulled up like a tube-top dress with a pair of plastic Barbie heels 🤣 Then she grabbed the entire 2lb bag of baby carrots, and laid on top of the coffee table blanket, eating carrots and talking my ear off for the next 20 minutes, while also slipping carrots to Pennie. I was just dying laughing at this whole situation, the way she was laying, everything she was talking about, the amount of carrots she was eating. Just all of it!

Last night, Addie found this nightgown and got dressed all by herself. It’s technically Emmie’s, but she put it on and looked so cute in it! And actually, this used to be mine way back in the day. And I love seeing both of them wear it!

I washed up a bunch of dishes already earlier tonight, so now I get to just watch some tv and repaint my fingernails.
