Early To Bed

I was obsessed with Emerson’s butterfly romper today. Not only was it super soft (she also said it was so cozy), but it was just so stinking cute on her! And of course Addison was super cute in Emmie’s old stripey dress too 🙂

Addison did so great at drop-off today, even after being at home for a few days with her family. We walked in, I put her in the little ball pit, and she just quietly & sweetly watched me walk out of the room.

Jeff said Emerson also had a great drop-off today, super quick with no issues!

A friend brought me these spicy boiled peanuts at work today, and they were SO good for a little pre-lunch, 11am-snack.

We got caught in that terrible thunderstorm on our way home, so I just drove as slowly as possible, to be extra safe. Then we did a super simple dinner of (store-bought) meatloaf, (instant) mashed potatoes and (canned) peas. I told Jeff he should be so grateful for a wife that comes home and just microwaves our whole meal from time to time 😉 But hey, it was still yummy, cheap and easy.

We ended up just cuddling up on the couch for a while after dinner, watching Moana all snuggled up together. Both girls were really tired tonight though, and Emmie could barely even make it through our little bedtime routine, before she was closing her eyes and starting to fall asleep propped on my leg on the floor.

When I came back up front, Jeff and Addie were both sound asleep in the recliner. So I scooped up the baby girl, loved on her a little bit, and then took her to her crib.

By 8:15pm, everyone else in my house was sound asleep, early to bed tonight, and maybe we’ll all be early to rise tomorrow. Or at least easier to wake up… So I’ve been watching “Survivor” while writing this post (yes, I’m still working my way through the many, many episodes available), and then I’m heading to work on my Titanic puzzle, and possibly finish my next Kindle book, that I’ve been flying through the past 36-ish hours.
