Today was supposed to be “book character” day but we just weren’t about that… Emerson’s friend was going to be Thing 1 though, so she whipped up a quick Thing 2 and stuck it to her shirt.
Loved the very orange sunrise downtown today.

Brought in another mug from home today to keep in the office, and it was very cute, but I’m afraid it’s more for looks, since I was afraid the boiling hot water was actually gonna just shatter it…

Nana picked up the girls early from school today, well, not early but in the car-ride line right after school ended, then Jeff and I went up to Havana after work. Nana grilled burgers, hot dogs, and sausage dogs, and made homemade mac & cheese for dinner.

Look at this little beauty queen!

And then we had a little craft night! GC Kids is doing a missions market again this like last year. And we’re doing cute little decoupaged seashells. My friend Casey from church gave us a bunch of shells from their boating adventures in the summer, and using those with some paper napkins and tissue paper, we crafted our little hearts out! It was a fun project and Emmie especially loved doing it. This was just step one tonight, and we’ll have to finish by painting the edges and tying on some ribbons. And we’ll probably do more shells then too, just because it’s too fun not to do more!

Of course Addie Pie fell asleep in the car on the drive home.

And here’s the new puzzle I got started last night. It’s only 300 pieces, and they’re large pieces too, so it should be fun, quick and easy!

Gonna work on the puzzle for a bit, but it’s late already and I need some sleep!
