Dance Performance

This snazzy little almost-pre-teen is just so beautiful and precious. She just had to come with me to church early this morning, since I went early for worship team rehearsal.

Jeff and Addie came shortly after us too, for him to serve on the production team in the back. And Addie sat in Renae’s lap for a while, helping out with the sound board 🙂

And Addie and her bestie Nora also helped at the GC Kids JR check-in desk together too.

After church, Emmie and I raced over to a birthday party for one of her besties from school, Miller. They had a bedazzling party, putting gems on everything, and making fun little bag charms and key chains and such.

After the party, Emmie and I ran a few errands around town, with a stop at 7 Brew for some afternoon coffee, and picked up our Walmart groceries as well. The girls helped me put the groceries away when we got home, and then we snuggled up on the couch for some movie rest time. We started “Bed knobs & Broom sticks” (or something like that), which interestingly, neither Jeff nor I had seen before. I, of course, fell asleep on the couch during the movie, and woke up to the house slightly dark and very cozy, with the overcast cloudy day, and a very nice, fall-ish candle burning in the dining room.

Eventually, we had a quick dinner at home, and then the girls came out in these beautiful dresses, and put on a whole dance performance for us in the living room, dancing and doing tricks together, and just being very cute and also funny.

And since tomorrow is the “fall holiday” and school is closed, we let them stay up later than usual. But once we got them settled down and cozy on the couch together, everyone calmed down pretty quickly, and Addie even fell asleep there next to me.

After getting the living room nice and tidy yesterday, we made sure to keep it that way today, so we could at least enjoy it for 24 hours. But I’m already itching to start another puzzle again. But since I have the day off to hang out with the girls, I think we will in fact get one going at some point tomorrow.
