Couch Cuddles

Both my little girlies were looking sporty this morning, ready again for another day at school!

The hours of 9-5 passed as usual, and I actually had a super productive day at work. After picking up the girls, Jeff took them on a walk with Pennie, while I made dinner.

Addison insisted she needed her tiny backpack for the walk, and was a little trooper, carrying it the whole way in the 100-degree heat.

They all came back with their cheeks so flushed from the heat, we immediately made our favorite flavored ice waters all around. And they got back right as the timer for the rice went off, and everything was ready for dinner.

The girls played together for a long time after dinner, just being so sweet and silly and precious. They played for about 30-40 minutes, while Jeff cleared up the kitchen, and I hung up a load of all my freshly washed dresses..

I also had a good little chunk of time to work on my puzzle, and once Addie decided she wanted a Popsicle, she came over and sat down by me, picked up a random piece, and said, “Do this one next, Mama!”

But look how much progress I’ve made! You can see how many pieces are still left though, with the few on the board and the ones still in those two drawers, but I’m definitely nearing the finish line…

Next up was jammies, sleepy gummies, cuddling and Bluey on the couch. Lots of sweet cuddles.

Both girls were tired and easy to get to sleep. I’m doing my best to ignore the dishes tonight, just cuz I’m not in the mood to deal with them, and I’d rather lay down on the couch and be lazy.
