Closing Rally

Today was the fifth and final day of Mega Sports Camp. Emmie was wearing her new shirt from the week, but Addie didn’t like how huge it was on her, and refused to wear it.

And I took a nice long lunch break so I could go back out to the church to watch the closing rally, and see their cheerleaders final performance!

 

 

 

 

 

We had a whole cast of Mega characters at camp this week, a whole Mega family in fact! Mega, Mini-Mega, Mega-Mega, Megan (the one in the purple tutu, not my sister), El Campeon, and Buddy Barrel!

We all got to spin this little Chick-fil-A wheel afterwards too, for some free food cards. We got a milkshake, biscuit, and sandwich.

Emmie was cute with the Mega Fam, but Addie was too scared and didn’t wanna get over there with them.

I went back to work after the rally, and the girls stayed in after-camp-care, and got to go swimming this afternoon. We picked up some pizza for dinner, and then while Jeff and Addie mowed the yard again (and the little strip across the road from us where elderly our neighbor walks his tiny doggie), Emmie and I were inside cleaning up the living room and dining room.

Addison needed a quick bath when she came inside, so while I got her cleaned up, Emerson had some tablet-time in her room. Then Addie worked a little more on some of her art from camp this week, before we started up our bedtime show and routine.

But it didn’t take long before my girl was completely sound asleep, with the lights still on and the rest of us walking around and talking still. She was worn out from playing with the big kids at camp all week!

Tomorrow, we have to tackle cleaning up the girls’ bedrooms, because they’re both a mess. Addison’s specifically is like a bomb went off in a pig sty and then a tornado came through. It happens because we let her go play by herself, and she just scatters everything to the winds! So that’s our big project for tomorrow morning, before we go out and do some school shopping and such later in the day…
