Charcuterie Lunch

Apparently Emerson found the missing Trader Joe’s sticker in the car this morning (remember she had one on her forehead when we got home yesterday, but she had been given two at the store), so this is how I found her when I opened the car door at school this morning! She was also very clearly enjoying a chocolate chip cookie, as evidenced by the mess on her little mouth.

There was some sort of loud noise from construction or something across the street, and she was a little concerned about it, saying, “I don’t wike dat woud noise!”

But I have no idea what this particular move is!

She was also very excited about this cheeseburger and french fry band-aid she was sporting today…

I took some tea party leftovers for my lunch today, and since I didn’t also bring a fancy wooden board, or even a plate, I made myself a charcuterie paper towel at my desk while I read my Kindle book. 🙂 And it was delicious!!

Emerson had a better day at school today (her lead teacher Miss Jessica was back), and even napped for 1.5 hours. Praise! 🙌🏼 It also looks like she did some fun art!

We actually had to go back to Trader Joe’s again today, because we were almost out of coffee, and wouldn’t have enough for tomorrow, and I forgot that yesterday. So after picking Emmie up from school, we made another super quick trip to TJ’s before heading home.

And then we had more TJ’s food for dinner, but tonight it was just a couple of simple frozen pizzas. A work-friend had been raving about this arugula & prosciutto one, so I wanted to try it. I had showed it to Jeff the other night, but he wasn’t interested, so I told him to pick one he wanted, and he chose the BBQ chicken, which is one I never would have chosen. So that worked out well for us to just each choose our own pizzas! I will say though, it turns out I don’t like prosciutto! So I ended up picking it all off my pizza, and then it was decent. The crust was delicious though, so I want to try a different kind next time. Oh and I grabbed a box of mini chicken tacos too, for another dinner, on another night.

Miss Priss needed some “goulash” while the pizzas were baking…

She specifically wanted “the lipstick girl” next to her while she ate, and even made Jeff and I get up and switch seats halfway through dinner, because she changed her mind about who she wanted to sit by. But she ate her chicken nuggets and tater tots (and a piece of Jeff’s pizza) like a champ tonight!

She had fun in the bath tub after dinner, and even washed some of her toys while she was in there, just for fun, all of her own choosing. So cute! Daddy wrapped her up like a baby burrito afterwards, which is her favorite!

She’s still going strong in her Christmas jammies from this past year. Who else’s baby is too?!

After one Bible story, and family prayers and hugs, I was letting her tell me one thing about school before bed. She told me one of her friends threw a car, and he got in trouble and to go to thinking time. I asked if she had been naughty, and she said no, so hopefully that’s the truth!

I was taking a photo of the dry skin spot on her cheek (which I got, but not these below), so I warned her it was going to flash, and I thought she would freak out, but she actually thought it was funny, and wanted me to do it again! And good grief, she’s so beautiful!

Bedtime went pretty smoothly, but she’s been kinda whining for me for a little bit since leaving her, but I’m hoping she can just call asleep on her own soon like usual. My tummy isn’t feeling so well actually, and I’m wondering if something on my pizza isn’t sitting so well… Gonna grab a Tums, and then I think it’s movie night on the couch.
