Take Your Bunny to Work Day

This morning, Emerson found Mommy’s chocolate covered pretzels from Valentine’s Day (they’re one of my absolute faves), and decided she needed some for her morning snack. So this is what I walked into, after finishing getting myself dressed.

She wore a new outfit to school today, and the shorts were perfect for this warm, beautiful day! I actually bought her this and a similar outfit as a pair from Marshall’s for one of her birthday gifts, and at size 18-months (she’s currently 31 months), she’s finally able to wear it, only seven months later! But I love it! And I love the bow on the back of the shirt.

And as usual, she was very excited about her chocolate chip muffin from school.

She has been very attached to this tiny bunny lately, and loves holding it while I rock her at night, before laying her in the crib. She’s also started bringing it in the car with her some too. She wanted to take it to school today, but I told her she needed to leave it in the car so it didn’t get lost or messy or stolen, but she was very concerned that the bunny would be lonely in the car. (What a grown-up concept for a tiny girl, right?!) She wanted me to take it to work with me, and since I didn’t want to lie to her about it (I knew she’d ask after school), I tucked it into my purse and brought it with me! It didn’t actually sit on my desk all day, but it is pretty cute.

Megan had a few of my Tupperware that I had sent home with her from the tea party, and I had a few things that she had left at my house after the tea party. So she walked to my office building, and we took our afternoon break together at the picnic table, and just chatted for a few minutes, and it was so nice! (Also, we both have tiny little squinty eyes, so we have to purposefully open them up wide for them to even be seen, haha.)

Grammy picked up Emerson like usual after school today (we discuss the day & who is picking her up after school every single morning), and then we all met for dinner before church at Which Wich, for $5 Wicked Wednesday’s. Phew, that was a mouthful! And so was the sandwich! Ba-domp, ching! Just kidding. I know how cheesy that was… But so was the sandwich! Ok, clearly I can’t stop myself… someone help me… It was delicious though 😉

When I showed Emerson at dinner that her little bunny was still in my purse, she wanted it up on the table. At first, she wanted it to sit by Uncle Keith, and then it got moved closer to her. Then Aunt Suzanne started feeding Emmie’s carrots to the bunny.

Choir was good tonight, and we worked on a few new songs. Afterwards, Emerson specifically had to go find our friends Ashlee & Louis, so she could say hi and give them hugs. And then on the way to the car, she wanted to go up and down this tiny hill a couple of times, before getting in the car with Daddy to go home.

When we got home, she found her little cell phone, and started making calls. She called Grammy and said, “hey, whatchu doin? I gettin my jammies on right now.” She also called Grandmommie, and Uncle Keith and Aunt Suzanne, all on her little like green flip phone.

She was really sweet for story time, and set up her little bear to read some Bible stories with us.

Bedtime went well, and she has been quiet and calm since I left her room earlier. We started watching “My Fair Lady” last night (one of my old faves, and I remember all the words to all the songs), but since I was cozy in the recliner, laying on a heating pad for my sore back, I fell asleep after only 45 minutes. We’re going to watch some more tonight now, and I’m hoping I can make it through another hour or so. The movie is almost three full hours, so it’ll take about five days at this rate! 😆
