WEDNESDAY
I only had a few pics yesterday, and I was just exhausted last night, so I skipped posting. But tonight, I’m just gonna share a brief bit from yesterday, before moving on to today…
Yesterday, I started my first appointment of physical therapy, because I woke up one random morning about 3-4 weeks ago, with terrible neck pain. I already went to TOC and had x-rays, and then they referred me to a physical therapist. It went well, and they gave me some little “exercises” to do with my head/neck, six to seven sets of 10-12 moves each time. Anyways, it was a beautiful, sunny morning, and I wished I could just be outside!
I got a bagel sandwich and coffee from Right Way Breakfast, and it was incredibly delicious. That bagel with the crispy bacon was sooo good!

And then at church, Addie and Hayden were so excited to see each other, just giggling and squealing and hugging, it was very precious.

THURSDAY
Missed out on sister pics yesterday due to some chaos, but we made sure to get a good one today!

Today I had another doctor’s appointment, today at the dermatologist, and since I was back in the area, I just couldn’t help going back to Right Way, for another bagel and coffee. Today I got it with schmear and crispy bacon, and that was super yummy too.

Finally brought in my new Funko Pop characters, Glinda & Elphaba, to join the rest of my little girl squad in the office, and they look so cute up there, front & center!

Met up with Mama and Meg for lunch today at Maria Maria, and then we all walked around to the other side of the building to get coffees from Ology Midtown.

And then mom had a little gift for Meg – a quilt made by my mom’s best friend (who we affectionately call Aunt Jane), from Hayden’s baby clothes. It was so cute and sweet and special, plus this little pillow to go with it.

Propagated a few little baby plants, to gift to two of the younger girls who have recently joined our office, and they’re so cute in these tiny terracotta pots.

I had put dinner in the crockpot this morning, so after picking up the girls from school, we were able to eat just minutes after getting home tonight. I put a shallow “layer” of Dr. Thunder in the bottom, then a pork shoulder roast, with potatoes, onions & carrots, all seasoned with a maple bourbon bbq spice pack from Kinder’s. And everything turned out great and yummy. We ate dinner quickly, and then Jeff and Addie ran errands to FedEx, Publix, and DQ 😉

And Emmie and I went to Trousdell for her twice-weekly gymnastics class. She had a great class, and I finished up my book. For the past two-ish weeks, I’ve been slowly reading “Garden Spells,” just savoring it and really enjoying it, because I didn’t want it to end! It was cozy, magical-realism, with sisters and family, and almost Practical Magic kind of vibes, and I loved it. It’s been on my to-be-read list for literally years, and I’ve owned this thrifted copy for years as well, but just now finally got around to it, and so glad that I did!

Emerson needed ice cream after the gym tonight too, so I got her a blizzard from DQ, and then we stayed up very late finishing up her Florida project, due for school tomorrow. She is very proud of it, and loves how it turned out, but we were working on it until almost 10pm! We’ll have to get a good picture of her with it tomorrow, before she turns it in.

It’s taken me a long time to write this post tonight, longer than usual, because I’ve been watching an episode of “Call the Midwife” while writing, and I keep getting distracted, because the show is so good! They’re literally on season 15 now, and I’ve been watching this show for ever since I started season one, episode one while on maternity leave with Emerson, and it’s always so good!
