Addie was in a bit of a mood this morning, but Emmie finally got her to smile and giggle, and then she was right as rain!
On my lunch break today, I went to a new nail salon about two minutes from my office. It’s on the corner of Gadsden and Tennessee and it’s brand new and very nice inside. I had a classic pedicure, and chose a nice glittery brown-ish color for fall, and I’ll definitely be back here.

I made it there and back in right about 50 minutes, so I quickly heated up last nights’ leftover meatloaf when I got back to the office, and scarfed it down with this Sprite Zero + Tea that someone gave me to try. The drink was fine, but the food was delicious.

After work, I picked up the girls from school, and we headed to midtown, to the Black Dog Cafe at Lake Ella. I grabbed a decaf iced coffee from their September specials menu, and then we sat out on the deck for a bit. The girls ate their PB(no J) sandwiches, and Emerson looked like one of the college students with her homework in her lap.

And the real reason we were hanging out here, was to meet up with a girl to buy these Funko Pop characters from Facebook Marketplace. She suggested we meet here, and it was the perfect spot to spend about 40 minutes between work/school and gymnastics.

It’s been years since visiting here, but it was literally just my vibe, and I really want to come back and spend a slow Saturday morning here sometime soon.

After getting the girls into their leotards in the tiny cafe bathroom, we headed over to Trousdell for gymnastics. Addie had her second little kindergarten class tonight, and she did such an amazing job, and had such a great time. She actually did awesome on the rope, and probably would have kept climbing higher, but even the tall coach couldn’t reach much further to spot her!

And as always, Emerson climbed all the way up to the very top of the rope with ease, and even paused to wave at me and pose for the shot!

On our way home, we got a tray from Cook-out to share for second dinner, and then I got the girls into bed, to which they were both exhausted and sound asleep almost immediately.
