Addison had a very fun Friday today, complete with water day and pizza lunch and outdoor painting during water day. So she had on a little Bluey bathing suit, and her little Bluey cover-up, and she brought a towel and change of clothes with her. And she told me tonight that she had a great day!

And Emerson also had an exciting day today, that we got to be a part of! Her teacher hosted an “Author’s Celebration,” and invited all the parents first thing this morning, to come see all of their projects and reports and things they’ve created during the year. There was cute art projects, and educational reports, and sweet gifts for dad’s for Father’s Day and mom’s for Mother’s Day. They also showed off their Powerpoint-making skills, and we took home a little plant they grew! It was a sweet little morning, and I’m glad both Jeff and I were able to be there with her!

Emerson has loved her third grade teacher this year, Mrs. Powell. She is so sweet, and she loves Emerson. She told me she calls her a little hummingbird, because she flits around the classroom with so much energy. She’s been such a great teacher for my tender-hearted girl, and I’m so grateful for that.

I stopped at a Little Free Library on my way into work, and dropped off two books, and took one book and one puzzle!

And this is the little plant that Emerson grew in class! I’m actually not sure what it is (I’m thinking maybe wheat grass), but it’s very green and very pretty, and it looks nice on my desk at work.

We had a very chill night at home tonight, just hanging out, puzzling, playing, reading and coloring. And it was really nice!

Gonna head back to the puzzle now, and probably my current Kindle book, and just take it easy the rest of the night…
