Amazon Rain

Addie was a little fussy when we were trying to leave home, so we didn’t do sister pics. But Jeff snapped a quick pic of Emmie in the driveway, before we all went our separate ways, then Addie was happy and smiley by the time time we got to school. And both girls ended up having good drop-off’s.

And as always, Addie had a good day at daycare.

I took a screenshot of this low-carb turkey lettuce wrap, not so much because I needed the “recipe,” but just to use as a reminder for my grocery list, to get this stuff to have for lunches next week. Looks soo goood! I can’t find that exact fancy mayo she mentioned, but I added a garlic aioli which will be a great option. (I’ve been trying to eat more low-carb specifically at breakfast and lunch lately, but that’s been a challenge with all this eating out I’ve been doing. These lettuce wraps will be great though.)

Started a new audio book on the way to pick up the girls. This author is one of the best audio book narrators and has narrated tons of some of the most popular audio books. And since I love audio books, I’ve listened to countless books she’s narrated. And now she’s written her first book, and of course narrated the audio as well. Been waiting on this one on the library holds list for a while, so I’m excited it’s finally my turn.

Then by the end of the day, we were all back home together again. We had Salisbury steaks from Aldi, with mashed potatoes, green beans and corn, and it was so good. The girls loved the steaks, and they both ate so well.

After dinner, Jeff ran to CVS to pick up some prescriptions, and I did bath time for the girls. Then once they were smelling so nice and wearing clean jammies, I got the house smelling good. My Scentsy lightbulb has been out for a while, and we finally remembered to get a new one recently, and so I opened up this brand new wax melt pack that my mother-in-law gave me a while back, that we hadn’t tried yet, and it smells soooo good. I had to look up what the scents of this “Amazon Rain” were, and it said melon, citrus, coconut milk and jasmine. It’s lightly tropical, and a little sweet, and I’m loving it.

I got the girls settled with snacks and “Bluey,” then Daddy got home and they all wanted to play together a little bit before bedtime.

Then it was bedtime, and both little girls were tired and ready for sleep.

It’s been a few days since I’ve had time to work on my puzzle, so I’m gonna listen to my audio book and go see what I can accomplish on that tonight…
