Look at these beautiful baby girls in their precious pink outfits today! Emerson’s whole outfit is thrifted, and she was so proud of that, and I’m proud of her for being proud of that 😉
I took both girlies today for drop-off, and we actually only dropped off Emerson at her school. Then Addison and I went for a little breakfast just us two, of her choosing. I gave her a few options, and even though I was pushing for Waffle House, she went with McDonald’s.

And then we headed back to Gilchrist for her kindergarten orientation! This came out of nowhere for me, because I think she was just a baby like two seconds ago, right!? But nonetheless, here we are… We applied for school choice for her too back in January or so (just like we did with Emerson), and then found out in March she was accepted to Gilchrist. So today we took her on a little tour to see the school as a future Grizzly, not just a little sister! Obviously we had to buy her a little swag bag, with some Grizzly goodies, like this t-shirt, a keychain, sticker, tattoo, pencil, and beads, and then all of the kiddos got these sunglasses for free. And how crazy does the “Class of 2039” sound!?

One of Addie’s little friends from church was in our tour group actually, and they walked around campus holding hands half of the time, which was obviously so sweet.

Emerson was out at PE during our tour and saw us across the way, and came running over for a quick hello and some hugs.

I can hardly believe this tiny astronaut will be blasting off to kindergarten in the fall!! Side note – it’s bittersweet to leave NFC after only one year. She has loved it there, and has really blossomed and learned so much. We’ve loved having her attend weekly chapel and learn Bible stories and worship songs. I hate to leave, but the many benefits of Gilchrist will be amazing too. And we’re excited for the next phase of their childhood, at the same elementary school together for a couple of years!

(Jeff had an early morning doctor’s appointment so he missed breakfast, but he made it to GES in time for the tour.)

I took Addison back to NFC for her to join her class, and then I stopped at Frother’s Daughter for a nice coffee on my way into the office. This is the special “Christian’s Campfire” cold brew in honor of local Tally native Christian who is on the current season of Survivor. It’s a “s’mores inspired cold brew with a twist! A caramel and strawberry cold brew mixed with a splash of rice milk (since rice is a staple on Survivor) topped with a toasted marshmallow cold foam, caramel drizzle, and a chocolate graham crumble.” I thought it sounded a little wild, but it was delicious, just like all of their drinks always are!

After work and school, my mom actually picked up both girls. They wen to Dollar Tree, and then dinner at Newk’s, while Jeff and I went to church for a worship team “Team Night.” Tonight, we played a few rounds of Spoons for our bonding time, and the winner from each table advanced to the final winners round. I won all the rounds at my table (Renae, you were a very serious opponent!), and then played at the winner’s table, and won both of those games too (great job though, Rachel!), which made me the Grand Champion, as Brent dubbed me! 😉 And so I won myself some Starbucks gift cards! (So you can guess what I’m getting on my way to work tomorrow!)

Mama brought the girls to us at the church when they finished with all of their stuff, so once we finished our time of prayer after the card games, we were all ready to head home and get the girls to bed. But first, Emmie had some homework to finish up, so Addie wanted to sit next to her and work as well, so she colored a little bit.
When bedtime actually rolled around, Jeff was on the computer helping someone with some IT stuff, so I did a one-parent-put-down, and just let both girls fall asleep together in my bed. They’re both still there now, but we’ll get them all moved around later… I’m currently streaming last night’s Survivor episode, and it’s so good! Love this show.
