Wrong Side of the Bed

We had kind of a rough morning at home today, not-so-much with Addie, but for Emmie for sure. She woke up on the wrong side of the bed, very tired still, and everything made her upset and whiny.

Also, we put Addison to sleep last night without her splint, but she woke up around 11:30 crying in pain, so we gave her some baby ibuprofen and put it back on, and she slept the rest of the night much better. So she wore it back to school again, just to be on the safe side.

Daddy did eventually get Emerson’s tears dried up and out the door for school. You can tell she was still a little strained, but Jeff said they prayed together on the way for her to perk up and have a good day, and the rest of the family prayer for her too.

Even with the splint on her arm, Addie has gotten used to playing and doing crafts at school.

I got stuck at work late today, so Jeff went to pick up the girls – both of them were very squinty in the low-but-bright afternoon sun on their way home.

I made buffalo ranch chicken wraps with salad and rice for dinner tonight. Addie just had plain chicken (no wrap), but I made Emmie a cheddar ranch chicken wrap, and she loved it. Jeff actually had a really late lunch today, and didn’t even eat anything for dinner, which means we actually had some leftovers so I’ll save it for a quick little weekend meal.

We cuddled and watched an episode or two of Bluey, then I took Emmie to my room to read and cuddle some more, while Jeff cuddled Addie to sleep on the couch.

I’m too cold to wash any dishes tonight (and frankly I just don’t feel like it), so I’m gonna grab a giant, soft, warm blanket and my Kindle, and finish up the book I’m currently reading and almost done with.
