We Can Each Other!

In case you haven’t noticed, Emerson is still wearing new school clothes every single day, and she probably has enough to go for another week or probably two, before we wear something “old” or repeat a new outfit. That’s in large party to the generous shopping trips from sweet grandparents for back-to-school 🙂

And of course Addison is always adorable in Emmie’s hand-me-downs.

Another beautiful morning sky today.

Emmie said she needed a little jacket for the slightly cooler 70-degree-weather this morning.

Got a few good photos of Addison having fun at school today, and enjoying the great weather today.

It feels like it’s been a while since I actually really cooked something, and these Asian chicken lettuce wraps that we always love were super delicious tonight, with a side of jasmine rice and an Asian salad I made as well. So yum.

Since the pastor, most of the church staff, and a good amount of lay leaders from GC are all in Israel right now (including Meg & Bo), there was no church tonight. Instead, we watched a YouTube video that Megan made, teaching the kids the motions to the opening Christmas musical.

Jeff and Addie were playing while Emmie and I were working on the kids choir video, and she came in to show us her bucket hat she found and put on.

Emmie and I did a little video call with Grammy, and then did our books and devotionals. One of our studies talked about the ways God provides for us, and I asked her for some examples. She said, “Food, drinks, water, orange juice, hot soup when I don’t feel good.” I just thought it was funny the way she said, “drinks, water, orange juice,” especially since she doesn’t even like orange juice! And the hot soup thing was silly but cute too.

And then she got a little bit goofy for a bit, and was doing all sorts of silly things. She did settle down eventually though, and she was being really lovey-dovey with me. One thing she’s said to me from the time she was about 2 years old, is when we go back and forth saying, “I love you more,” and then “No I love you most!” She will eventually say, “We can each other!” And what she means is, “We can both love each other the most,” but I just love the sweet little phrase she’s coined for us.

Addie on the other hand fell asleep with Jeff pretty quickly, all flopped out and comfy.

I had to scoop her up and get some loves myself first, before taking her back to her room.

There are some dishes to wash, and some things to take care of before another day tomorrow, and then I’ve got to get to bed at a decent hour tonight! I’ve had a couple of late nights in a row, due to one thing or another, so I can’t let that happen again tonight, cuz Mama is tired!
