Walkin’ & Karate-Choppin’

Two little girls, pretty in pink together!

Addie showed off at drop-off today, when she took four steps on this little walker! We asked Miss Heather if she had ever done that in class before, but she said this was her first time! I was so happy that I was able to see her do that for the first time!!

I had another of the most delicious Asian chicken salads for lunch today, and I could already eat another one for lunch tomorrow. Maybe I’ll go make one after I finish writing this post!?

We didn’t get any pictures of Addie at school today, but we got a couple of Emmie playing and doing some artwork with her friends.

Emmie was running around on the playground like a wild woman when I got there again today, and Addie was the happiest, smiley-est little baby girl!

I made some honey-lime shrimp with rice & roasted veggies for dinner tonight. And really, that sounds better than it actually was. It was okay, but it wasn’t great, but I won’t try that recipe again… Addie enjoyed her own baby food, and Emmie just ate rice and string cheese 😉

They both had fun splashing around in the bathtub together (Emerson’s favorite bath game recently is that she runs a coffee cart and makes me extra large iced coffees with a different flavor each time), and then we got them in their fresh jammies.

Emerson played “karate” with the triplets when we were at their house on Saturday, and she wanted to play pretend karate again with Daddy tonight. She told him he was the teacher, and he was giving her karate lessons. So they really did take a few minutes to do some karate choppin’ and kicks and punches… until Daddy kicked a little too hard and hurt himself because he didn’t stretch first 😉

Addie fell asleep really easily after her last bottle, and I was already able to lay her down in her bed. Emmie has been having a couple of rough nights with bedtime, so I’m hoping that tonight she does better, and stays in her room at this point… I’m heading to check on her one more time, and then I’ll go wash up some dishes and bottles while watching Survivor.
