Wacky Directions

Emerson got this new sweatshirt for her birthday, and she wore it almost all day around the house yesterday afternoon and evening. And she wanted to wear it to camp today too. And so of course Addison had to do what big sister was doing, so she found a little sweater to wear to camp as well.

OK so mildly embarrassing confession – I’m obsessed with using Google Maps in my car through Android Auto. I’m always playing an audio book on Libby, or an album on YouTube Music, and I’m also always running maps, even if I know exactly where I’m going. Everyone who rides with me makes fun of me, but I just like it! And plus, it actually helps on days like today, when there was a wreck on Tennessee Street that was completely blocking my way home, the maps re-routed us from camp to home a different way that avoided the wreck. Anyways, there is this one weird glitch in it, on the route from my office to East Hill, that it does almost every time, and it makes no sense! Obviously, I didn’t actually get off the main road just to make a weird square and get back on the same road, but I just can’t figure out why it does this!?

Tonight’s dinner was my cheesy meatball bake, with ricotta and mozarella and lots of sauce, and it was just as delicious as always. With a little Caesar salad on the side.

I started both girls with a handful of meatballs and two little portions of salad. But they both quickly finished everything. Emmie went back for seconds on the meatballs, and she ate literally just as many meatballs as I did!

Addie was running around in her sister’s hand-me-down leotard and white bejeweled cowgirl boots, just cracking me up with all her antics. Emmie was watching The Sound of Music with Mommy, and very into it. I was able to do dishes earlier already, and all the leftovers have been put away. So now I’m going to work on reading more of my book club book. I’m almost to page 100 of a 320-page book, so I’ve definitely still got quite a ways to go before Thursday!
