Unicorn Ponytail

So we actually had kind of a rough morning, because Emerson tripped over the kitchen mat and fell on her face and hit her tooth on the floor. She busted her lip and the tooth was very sore. It was actually still bleeding a little by the time we got to school, so don’t look too close if blood makes you squeamish. Poor baby nugget.

But she was looking just as cute as ever still, and a new outfit from Nana, her cute winter boots and a warm sweater. She specifically asked for a side ponytail on the top of her head like that just like a unicorn ponytail! So I did the best I could 😊

And look at these adorable little triplets! I can’t stand how cute they are in their boots and jean jackets!

Loves all around for all the cousin girls!

Emerson had a great day doing arts and crafts and playing other friends, and a nice long nap. I love the photos of her and her friends on the playground, and especially the one of her by herself with those super bright blue beautiful eyes of hers!

I had to go back for another round of blood work today, this time ordered by the high risk doctor. I had a specific appointment time scheduled, but I was still a full hour after my scheduled time by the time my blood was actually drawn. And that was super frustrating. That was also my fourth blood draw in this pregnancy so far, and I’m hoping it’ll be my last for a while!

But I treated myself to a spicy Chick-fil-A sandwich on my way back to work. I used some of my reward points for free large diet lemonade, and got the yogurt parfait as a side (I promise there is actually yogurt and fruit under that mound of cookie crumbs!). I knew I would be too full to eat a whole sandwich and the fries, so I chose the yogurt since I knew I could put it in the fridge and save it for later. I was completely stuffed after just the sandwich, so I had one bite of the yogurt just to get a little sweet taste of my mouth, and then finally ate it just a few minutes before leaving work for the day, and it was delicious!

Jeff was out helping someone at their house with some computer work tonight, so Emmie and I had a mommy and daughter night together. We had my leftover Chinese food from our lunch the other day, and even with both of us eating it again tonight, we still didn’t finish all of it. But it was still yummy!

All of this in the picture below was still the leftovers! So I saved this and put it in Jeff’s container, since his leftovers from Sunday were a considerably smaller amount than mine. Now he’ll have enough for a decent size meal!

She ate a little bit more of her grape lollipop She started last night, and even though she did suck on it for a while, she still didn’t finish it and wrapped it back up again.

We snuggled up on the couch for a few minutes watching a Mickey Christmas movie, and then got her in the bath to get cleaned up. Once she was out and dry and warm, we snuggled back up on the couch again to watch some more of the Christmas movie before getting her ready for bed.

She loves to play hide and seek in her towel after bath.

She found a snack to eat while watching the movie, but she was so interested in watching the movie, I kept having to remind her, “Eat another bite of your snack Emerson.”

We were both feeling a little bit chilly, so we went and put on our big fluffy warm robes, and then she picked out her Bible story book to read for her bedtime story.

Jeff got home right as we were finishing up the bedtime routine, so he got to come in and get hugs and loves and cuddles and say prayers with us, before she had to go to sleep. So of course she was very glad she got to see him before bedtime!

I have once again been extremely tired today (that specific first-trimester-tired), so I’m sure it won’t be long before I head off to bed for another relatively early bedtime.
