Tornado Watch

Lots of cute little girlies, about to blow away in the crazy winds this morning!

Today was supposed to be round two for anyone who missed “donuts for grown-ups” today, but somehow these two ended up back there again for the second day in a row… 😉

Then later in the morning, most of Tallahassee and the surrounding areas were all rushed into the interiors of our buildings, to wait out a tornado watch! This was my whole Bureau in our long hallway, but I got word that both Growing Room & Gilchrist were all “hunkered down,” as well as my mom & sister in their buildings.

Cute little Addison at school, having a good day with her friends.

Jeff wasn’t feeling well this afternoon (and he’s still down for the count this evening), so I was all on my own trying to get the girls picked up, fed, dropped off at church on time, and myself to praise team. Addie Pie had to come hang out with us at praise team for a bit first though, while we waited on her teacher.

We had a great night at church, very powerful praise and worship and prayer and communion. Then it was a little late when we got back home, but I got the girls changed into their jammies, they got snacks & milk, and Emerson brushed her teeth. I rocked Addison for a few minutes, and she fell asleep quickly without too much trouble.

Emerson had been so tired, and she didn’t want to wait until I got Addie down, so she laid down in my bed to wait for me, and of course she was out like a light. Even when I went in and laid down beside her for a few minutes, she never woke up. I just petted her little head, and kissed her sweet cheek, and brought myself to tears thinking about how much I love her and how sweet she is and just that I’m so thankful the Lord blessed me with this precious child!

Jeff is still really not feeling well (could be something like stomach flu or food poisoning), so I’m trying to take care of him now too. Praying the girls sleep well through the night, and that he gets better quickly, and that none of the rest of us get sick with whatever it is he has.
