Three Pork Dumplings

Little cutie pies this morning before school! Today was “purple for preemies” day, and although neither of my girls were preemies, our sweet triplets were (here’s the blog post from when I first held them!), and we wanted to support them. (Even though their mommy forgot to send them in purple today ) And uh, Emmie picked out her shoes today, and even though I think they’re supposed to be water shoes for summer time, it wasn’t worth the fight…

But after dropping off Emerson in her classroom, I took baby Addison back to the car, and we headed to the doctor’s office. She started getting a snotty nose and a cough last night, so being overly cautious, we just wanted to get her checked out. But all was fine, and it’s just a little fall cold, and they gave us a note to return back to school.

You can see in these eyes that she was exhausted, after staying for the whole appointment and fighting sleep…

I didn’t get to eat breakfast until after I finally got to the office, so by 9:30am (when I usually eat around 7:30 or 8), I was starving, but at least my avocado toast was delicious.

Both girls had a good day at school…

We had a busy day at work today, and a baby shower for a coworker, and I was super excited to pickup these two little sisters at the end of the day.

I made a quick meal out of all Trader Joe’s frozen Asian foods tonight, and accidentally ended up with just veggie fried rice, and three different shapes/varieties of pork dumplings. But all were super good and it was a decent meal.

My girl was exhausted, so I put her jammies on, and my jammies on, and we just snuggled and rocked together for like, an hour while she snoozed away.

Jeff did most of Emmie’s bedtime stuff while I kept holding Addie, and then we switched so I could love on Emmie and Jeff fed Addie a bottle.

Most nights, Addison completely sleeps through the nights these days, but she does still occasionally wake up once a week or so in the middle of the night for a bottle. So last night, I woke up with her around 3am to feed her (and watch an episode of the Magnolia cooking show), and then fell asleep on the couch for a while before having to get up for the day. I still feel like I’ve been up for forever, so I’ll be falling asleep on the couch again tonight in the next 30 minutes or so, most likely…
