Sunshine Songs

I went to church early today for nursery duty, and so we missed sister pics. Instead, our first pics of the day were my two little burrito girls at lunch.

Then all four of us passed out at home for nap time, for at least two hours. Well, a little less than for me, and then I started a new library Kindle book, that I’m already really into and flying through.

And then we were back out in the little inflatable swimming pool in our backyard. At first, it was just me and Emerson, while Addison was still sleeping. Then Jeff brought Addie out, and he came to join us too. We stayed a long time, and the girls still weren’t ready to get out, so I made a super quick dinner. Then after we finished eating, Jeff got back in the pool with them (and washed their hair), and I did the minimal cleanup needed after dinner.

Addie picked up the little noodle and used it as a microphone to sing a cute little song about sunshine, and I died at the cuteness.

Also, look at my cute new outdoor tablecloth I got a while back at Walmart, for a whopping $3.97, which is perfect for my little orange/lemon obsession these past few years.

Jeff brought them inside to me one at a time, so I could get them dried and dressed in their jammies. They cuddled up in Emerson’s sleeping bag to get warmed up, and watched tv together for a bit.

And after lots more snacks and drinks, they were both super tired and fell asleep so quick and easy.

Jeff started up a load of towels, little girl blankets & sheets, and bathing suits, so we can make sure we have those things to pack in their bags for tomorrow. So he’s gotta get that stuff into the dryer, and I’m probably going to read a little bit more, and just take it easy.
