Stars Hollow

We had a full, busy day today, so let’s jump into it! I’ve been following this new coffee truck, Ilias Coffee, on Instagram for a couple of months now, and finally got the chance to try it out today. She was parked at Tom Brown park, so we headed out from our house early-ish, to get all the way over there a little after 9am.

So while we ordered and waited for our coffee’s, the girls climbed up the giant spider web thingy. They wanted to play on the whole playground, but it was wet and soggy, plus, we were only there for a quick minute.

And since I really wanted to try all three coffees from the Gilmore Girls fall menu, we decided to go for a whole coffee flight with all three drinks, since I didn’t know if I’d be able to make it out to her truck again before the end of the month. All three were good, but the Stars Hollow latte was absolutely my favorite one, with Rory’s Book Club next, and the Sookie’s Cold Brew last, simply because it wasn’t sweet enough or creamy enough for my tastes. And now I’ll also need to re-watch some GG episodes over the next month or so too.

I also messaged her the info for the folks that schedule the food trucks at my office, hoping that maybe she can come park at my office once or twice a week in the future 🙂

Next up, trying out Jack in the Box for the first time, for a super fast breakfast. I had the little ham, egg & cheese on a bun, and it was very simple and very good. No pictures of food though, because we were literally speed-eating, trying to get out of there as fast as possible….

…because we had a playdate at Urban Air with Emmie’s little bestie from her gymnastics class, Hadley. But the big girls were running so fast and wild, we literally got no pictures of them together. And then we only got the picture of Emmie and Addie together at the very end, before we left.

We did a little walk through Marshall’s for Emerson to spend some of her birthday money. After sniffing plenty of perfumes and sprays, she actually landed on a little 3-pair set of cute earrings.

We went back to Jason’s Deli for lunch, where Jeff and I both got the salad bar, and the girls shared a turkey croissant piled high with turkey & bacon. I was sitll working on my salad and all the accoutrements, while they had all moved on to soft-serve ice cream.

Addie and I both had a little rest on the car ride home, since it was pouring rain and Jeff was playing nice calm music for us.

I finished this puzzle last night, and it’s was such a good one! Jeff helped me finish up the tree in the to right corner once I got to that part at the end, late last night. I love the feel of these Hobbry puzzle pieces, and the matte finish. But it’s still so cute and colorful, even with the matte finish. Just so cute!

We were home for about two hours, during which time I napped on the couch, and Jeff napped in our room, and the girls snuggled up next to me watching the real-life version of “Lady & the Tramp” on Disney+. Afterwards, we woke up and headed back across to the other side of town again, to meet Jeff’s parents at Chow Time for dinner, since Emerson had been craving Chinese food and sushi. Addie had a small serving of noodles and about three bites of chicken, and then like a million desserts.

The girls hopped in the shower, and Jeff got a load of laundry started, and I’m going to put away the finished puzzle from last night, but not yet start a new one, so that I can get to bed at a good time tonight…
