We had a Grandparents’ Day breakfast in GC Kids this morning, so Nana and PopPop came to join. My parents were actually cooking for the whole group (I also went early to help them a bit in the kitchen), so even though they did get a chance to sit down and eat with everyone, we missed getting their picture too, before they were back up and running around again, cleaning up.

Oh wait, updated later to add these photos I grabbed off the GC Kids Facebook post 🙂

And since there were some leftovers, I had a plate in the kitchen as we started putting things away.

Sister pics on the way out at the end of service today…

On our way to Echalee with this little “business woman,” as she called herself. She said she just needed a briefcase!

We had a slightly crazy and busy afternoon. First, Emmie and I went to Walmart for some school project supplies. We also got some bathing suits for the girls that we found on clearance for like $3-4, that we’re saving for next summer. At home, we started a load of laundry to wash Emmie’s bedding, and then Addie tried on some new shirts from Nana. Her favorite was this little hoodie.

Next, we started working on a school project for Emmie. She has to make a 3D map of Florida, complete with key, compass, cities, capital, rivers, and the Everglades. So we just barely got started on it today (Daddy cut this perfect shape out of styrofoam leftover from our new cooktop a while back), and we’ll have to work on it in bits and pieces through the week, since it’s due on Friday.

Jeff also went out and picked up a grocery order for us from Walmart, and the girls played for a while, and I did a very quick tidy-up in the kitchen.
Then after a weirdly long afternoon, we went back to church for dinner and connect groups. Emmie’s friend Daisy was just carrying Addie around at the end of the night, and carried her all the way to the car, and then got in the car with us. They tried to hatch a plan for a sleepover on a school night, so we had to assure them we’d do that another night instead.

Unfortunately, Emmie’s sheets and blanket weren’t completely dry yet tonight, so we just put both girls to sleep in our bed, and then we’ll move them later, once we can re-make her bed.
