Every Saturday, I lay out Emerson’s outfits for the upcoming week, starting with her Sunday dress, followed by five days of school clothes. It just so happened to work out that her new pink sneakers matched the outfit for today perfectly. She’s so adorable! She looks so athletic in her little tennis shoes. I said that this morning at home, and Jeff said she was Sporty Spice! I knew immediately that that would be today’s post title!
Come to think of it, this entire outfit (shirt, pants, shoes) came from Walmart, and the whole thing cost less than $15. Frugal Fashionista. (That would have been a great blog post title too!)
And would you please look at this photo of my tiny artist painting at school?! With the little apron! Can you even? My heart fluttered when I first saw this pop up in my parent app!
When Grammy got to school to pick up Emerson at the end of the day, her teachers said she had a great day today! Ms. Sheila said Emerson was being super sweet today, and when a little friend was crying, she went over to them to give them hug and said “it’s okay.” Also, my friend Allie’s daughter is in Emmie’s class, said when she dropped of Maddie, Emmie came over to show off her new shoes and give Allie a hug. Then she have Maddie a hug, and they went off to okay together! Sounds like Emmie was just super sweet all around today!
We all met up at McAlister’s for dinner tonight. Emerson’s mac & cheese was super hot, and she was being so funny and dramatic about it. She also made Grandmommie feed her every since bit, even though she obviously does it herself all the time!
And then she got Uncle Keith to take her outside to play, and she had the whole place to herself! She loved it!
Grammy, Emmie & Grandmommie heading into church ♥️ (P.S. – my mama sprained her ankle recently, and maybe tore some tendons, so pray for her healing.)
Since I lost my voice last weekend, I wasn’t quite up to singing as much as usual for choir tonight, but I still went anyways. It’s also my turn for praise team this coming Sunday, so we had extra rehearsal for that tonight as well. I reserved my voice through choir, so I could made it through, and I did alright.
Daddy toon Emmie home early to do bath and bedtime, so she wouldn’t be out as late. Looks like she had some milk in her jammies. She loves sitting on the couch lately, so I’m sure she demanded, “milk on couch.”
Im exhausted now, so I’m going to read a little and finish up my current e-book, and try to go to sleep early tonight.
