This little girl is just so precious in this adorable cherry dress, with her new gold wedding sandals.
On my way to school this morning, there was much less traffic than usual. But I noticed the biggest difference on Thomasville road, between daycare & downtown. I was literally the ONLY car driving south towards downtown the entire way, and it was very eerie. It felt like it must have been 6am on a Sunday or something, instead of 7:45 on a Wednesday. (This is right around South Ride on T-ville.)
But the sun was shining and it was a cool, dry morning, and it was beautiful! (Make sure you look hard to see the actual sun rays bursting upwards in the photo below.)
Oh, and if you hear my coughing, it’s not coronavirus, it’s my allergies from this crazy amount of pollen right outside my building! People with allergies are getting a lot of stink eye during this pandemic, but I promise it’s just because my sinuses are all messed up!
However, despite all the pollen, it was too pretty outside to sit inside during my lunch break. So I heated up my food, re-packed my lunch bag, and went down to my old favorite picnic table to read & eat outside today! And it was so lovely! I especially loved the dappled sunlight streaming through the tree onto my book. I had my own little solo picnic, and I enjoyed it very much.
We’ve been getting lots & lots of pictures from school these last couple of days, and it’s been so great! I love seeing the cute little things she does with her friends and her teachers, and her little crafts and activities. So much cuteness! Also, she peed in the potty at school FOUR TIMES today, and didn’t even wet her diaper at all! My girl is killing it this week!
Ugh, and I LOVE sleeping photos. I just so rarely get to see her sleeping anymore these days, and I love it so much.
I hadn’t exactly planned what I wanted to cook for dinner tonight. But then I saw a post from TacoMora’s Facebook page, saying tonight was BOGO 1/2 off burritos, bowls, or quesadillas, but then they were closing tomorrow because of all this craziness! So we decided to grab take-out from them, to support them one more time, and we’ll be watching for them to re-open, hopefully after all this madness settles down.
Oh, but we just made her some cheese noodles for dinner at home, because she didn’t want tacos or quesadillas. And then SHE wanted to say the prayer for dinner tonight, and it was so precious!
I got the al pastor burrito, and it was very yummy. However I will say, I definitely liked the al pastor street tacos that I got the last time better.
She made us some more tea after dinner tonight, and then we headed off to take a bath before bedtime.
She also needed a snack again at bedtime, so we went for a repeat of the go-gurt, and she loved it just as much tonight, and squeezed out every single bit.
She was telling me a little bit about her day at school, and she kept going, “and soooo…”
She was a very good girl at bedtime, and we had no issues or anything. And then when I came out of her bedroom, my sweet hubby had unpacked almost all of the stuff from last weekend’s trip, had hung up a load of my clean dresses, and was even cleaning the bathroom! So I got a wild hair and joined him, and we super cleaned the bathroom. Like, scrubbed the sink & the tub & the counter-tops & purged our medicine collection. Wow. We were quite proud of ourselves, especially for a week night 😉
But now Netflix and the couch (with my super soft blankie), and maybe a few mugs of hot tea, is calling our names!
