Sleepy-Saurus

It’s been a while since I’ve shared a beautiful sunrise photo, mostly because it’s just not that time of year, but it was so pretty this morning!

Emerson wore another new birthday outfit today, this one was from Grandmommie. At first, we thought it was unicorns, so that’s what we told her. But then we discovered it was just horses, but by that point, she was adamant, and sternly told us, “No, uh-corns, uh-corns!” So unicorns it is! 🦄 (And she picked out her own shoes again today. These are definitely her new faves!)For lunch, I brought an entire bagged salad kit, and had yogurt and a granola bar to go with it. I wasn’t really sure how much of the salad I would eat, but I thought I might have half today and half tomorrow. But it was soooo good, and I ended up eating every. single. bite. And nine hours later, I’m still thinking about it. I want some more! I had the yogurt at lunch time, but saved the granola bar for my afternoon snack.Emmie had another great day of school!Ok but we have to have a chat with her about boys already, because the caption on these next couple photos said, “my friend gave me a kiss on the cheek.” And excuse me, but Tater Tot just needs to slow herself down! And then they had to exchange her skirt for some pants, when she dumped almost a whole cup of water on her skirt at snack time.Grammy picked her up in the Jeep, as is our new normal for Wednesday’s, and we all met up at Firehouse Subs for dinner before church. She was touching the fire on the painting, and pretending it was hot, saying, “I want to touch the fiyah! HOT!”Grandmommie was showing Emerson pictures of the triplets, and she was so cute and excited about them!During our Pastor’s sabbatical, different church members have been leading the Wednesday night Bible study meeting in his place. My Uncle Keith led tonight (so he missed most of choir), on the book of Song of Solomon, and about marriage & relationships. Once he finished, he came into choir, and he gave us the Reader’s Digest version, and it was so good. One of my favorite parts was about not only finding a good partner, but also being a good partner. That’s so smart, and important! One of my old bosses at work recently brought some hand-me-downs for Emerson, and these were one pair of the two cute dino jammies among the goodies. They were perfect because they were both her current size, and she loved dinosaurs. She was a Sleepy-Saurus tonight, and she loved it! She was also going RAWR like a dinosaur. But you know, the tiniest, cutest dinosaur ever. She tried to do some of her usual stall tactics at bedtime, but Mommy stayed strong and I was able to get her down relatively easily. Jeff and the boys are working on building a new computer for them, so I’m going to stay in the bedroom and read. I have about 40 pages left of my current library book, so I’m hoping I can finish it up tonight, especially since it was due last Saturday. I’ve had a sinus headache most of the day though, and finally just took medicine when we got home from church, so we’ll see how much reading I actually get done before falling asleep…
