Sleepover

Doing a quick, short post tonight, before Jeff and I run out the door for dinner on a rare date night! Grammy picked up the girls from school for a sleepover, so we’re about to leave now, and then I’ll just get to “take the night off” later!

This morning, Emmie chose Y for YARN for her show & tell bag today, and it was a mess, but it was all her idea, and she was so proud of it!

 

My eggs were super delicious this morning, and I was glad I made it with four eggs, because it was very hearty and delicious and filling, and I’m gonna want that again very soon. (And yes, I definitely felt very “extra” bringing my own knife and cutting board with me to the office.)

Both girls seemed to have a good day at school…

And I know they must have both been so excited to see Grammy pick them up this afternoon! Addie took her usual car nap on the way home, and my big girl Emmie looked so cute!

They got Chinese take-out for dinner, and I know Emmie loved that, since it’s one of her favorites.

I came straight home after work (instead of picking up the girls first), and that felt super weird (I may have even shed a few tears because I already missed the girls so much…), but Jeff and I both freshened up a little, and now we’re walking out the door to go meet our friends Britteny & Steven for dinner!
