Say No to Gnocchi

Happy Monday, from my little cutie girlies!

Cute pictures of Addie Pie at school during the day today…

Jeff saw this at gnocchi at Home Goods (randomly) the other day, and wanted us to try it. So I just “made” one of those bagged salad kits and boiled the pasta, and I also roasted some cherry tomatoes (from my friends backyard) with onions & olive oil & seaonings, and topped my pasta with that, plus marinara & pesto. I actually liked it, but no one else did So ultimately, they chose to say no to gnocchi.

Jeff took care of some random chores (trash, laundry, deflating the blow-up pool), and Addie and I played in her room, and we let Emmie watch PBS Kids on her Kindle in her room. Addie brought me this tiny elephant first, then walked back over to her pile of stuffy’s and brought back Dumbo next, and I was like, “Did you know these were both elephants!?!?”

She had to shimmy into her office for some privacy to make a few phone calls.

Emmie and I took a few minutes to work on our puzzle some more, before her bedtime. This thing is just killing us! It took about 5 days to do our NYC puzzle, but we’ve been working on this one for two weeks, and we’ve barely made any progress! I was thinking about quitting it, but I decided it doesn’t matter how long it takes, but we’re gonna get this dang this finished eventually!

She wanted a picture of her “x-back” dress, before we started doing the usual bedtime routine. Then she picked out “Madeline” and we read it in my bed, before moving back to her room for prayers and lullabies.

Daddy of course got Addison to sleep after her bottle of milk, and then successfully got her into her crib for nighttime.

I spent another 10 minutes on the puzzle, and placed about five more pieces, and then came to write this blog post. I’m heading to the kitchen now to wash up the dishes while listening to my audiobook, and then we’re gonna find a movie or something to watch.

…..20 minutes later…. I finally left the front computer room and found these two sound asleep in the recliner. Apparently, she had had a bad dream and wanted to cuddle daddy, and instantly fell asleep with him while they listened to classical music together. So sweet!
