Rainy Sunday Afternoon

Praise the Lord for rainy Sunday afternoons. But especially for naps on a rainy Sunday afternoon! It was a busy weekend, so I cuddled up under a soft blanket, and just let myself slip into sleep (right in the middle of watching “Big Fish”) when the rain started late this afternoon. And it was so lovely. Emerson woke up a few minutes before I did, but Daddy took care of her, so I could slowly wake up.

Then Jeff decided he wanted ice cream from Dairy Queen again, so we ran up there for dinner and dessert. Honestly though, I didn’t mind one bit not cooking or even thinking about what to make.

And since we got almost two hours of audiobook listening time yesterday on the way to & from the wedding in Thomasville, we finished “Mr Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore” today. We both really liked it, and both decided we would rate it 4/5 stars on Goodreads.

So tonight we started another new audiobook, Station Eleven. I actually read this book sometime in 2015, but I liked it a LOT, and thought it would be a good one for us to listen to together.
