Plumbing & Pipes & Popcorn & Pizza

Pretty in pink on a Friday morning!

My obsession with avocado toast lives on, but my avocados weren’t ripe all week, until today, and this was delicious. I know it seems like a lot of extra, random toppings, but the mix of sweet, salty, cheesy & spicy is sooo good.

Addie had herself a great day at school. I love seeing all the pictures of her walking and standing now!

Remember how I mentioned a few weeks ago we had a random leak under the kitchen sink we were working on? Well Jeff tried his best, tried everything he could, but couldn’t get it figured out. So we finally called a plumber earlier this week and he came today. I don’t really know any details, but apparently there was a hole in something. He had to cut into the back of the cabinet a little bit, but he was able to fix the piece with the hole, and he replaced a few other pipes while he was under there, and almost $600 later, it’s all taken care of now…

Our final Corrections Employee treat was this bag of kettle corn, which is one of my favorite snacks. I ate about half this afternoon and saved the rest for later.

When I got home, this is what the kitchen looked like after Jeff had to pull out even more stuff from underneath the sink and surround cabinets, and I was just not in the mood to cook dinner again. So Jeff ran out and picked up a pizza instead.

Jeff wanted to run out to get a hair cut tonight after dinner, so I played with the girls in Addie’s room for quite a while, and we had so much fun. Emmie was playing all sorts of make believe games and being so silly, and Addie was just wandering around in circles, getting into everything. She climbed on top of her piano, and wedged herself between the closet door and the dresser, and then climbed in her empty diaper box too. The girl is a goofball, just like her big sister!

We had lots of fun playing, but I could tell Addison was getting really tired, so we changed into our jammies, I fixed Addie a bottle, and we settled down in the living room to watch Polly Pocket and calm down before bedtime. Jeff got back home shortly after that, so we were able to go through both girls’ bedtime routines, and get them both down easily. We’ve got quite a big weekend ahead of us, with Addison’s first birthday party, and Mother’s Day festivities on Sunday, but I need some good rest first tonight!
