PJ Friday Night

(This is the post for Friday, 10/9.)

I decided to snap a few pictures before getting in the car to head to school, before she got upset about mommy leaving her. She was adorable in this new dress!

We did not have a good drop-off (she started crying about half way to school and it only got worse, and even I cried at school), but Miss Nicole got her settled down pretty quickly, and soon after, Emmie got to hug Uncle Bo and Aunt Meggie, and help the triplets get back to their classroom!

And then not too long after that, we got this picture from the parent app, with the caption, “All smiles!” So I know she was perfectly fine!

Our Bureau Chief brought in a Crock-Pot full of boiled peanuts again, but the office was out of bowls, so it was a “BYOB” (bring your own bowl) situation, so I filled up my llama mug with peanuts for my mid-morning snack. And then I took my little lunch outside to my favorite picnic table!

Emerson tried to drive us home after work and school again, even though she’s barely tall enough even on her knees to see over the steering wheel!

She wanted to put her jammies on immediately when we got home, and I thought it was a great idea, so I did too. We ended up eating McDonald’s cheeseburgers on the couch for dinner, because it was just that kind of comfy, cozy night, and she played and we watched Frozen II.

We were already dressed and ready for bedtime, so she just had to pick out a few books to read. She assigned each of us one, and then Daddy did her lullabies this time.

It was a super chill, super simple Friday night, and just what we needed!
