Piggy-Back Ride

All bundled up again this morning, ready for another chilly day. Emerson actually got to go on an early-morning adventure with Daddy. They took Pretzel out to the vet for his bi-annual check-up & teeth cleaning, and she was so sweet about waking up early, getting ready quickly, and leaving home early.

I dropped off Addie like normal, all soft and cozy in her cute little pink sweatsuit.

On their way from the vet to the school, they decided to treat themselves to a special McDonald’s breakfast too 🙂

And then Emmie had a good drop-off as well, following a special piggy-back ride from Daddy!

Looks like Addie had a good day at school, doing some blue sky painting!

Jeff had to go back and pick up Pretzel after work, and also drop off some laptops at FedEx, so it was just me and the girls for dinner. Emmie had a Lunchable she wanted to eat, and I made more of the air-fried chicken nuggets we’ve been loving so much lately. (With more leftover saved Chick-fil-A sauce, of course.)

We played and cuddled and watched “Bluey” and did some paint-by-numbers together (yes, I’m still doing multiple of those every day; obsession still going strong), and then started getting the girls ready for bed. Addison wanted to just lay straight down in her bed tonight with no rocking or cuddling, and she did really well with that. I read Emerson’s new school-library book tonight, and she declared “Pig Kahuna Pirates” her new favorite book 🙂

I’ll will be doing no chores tonight, so that I can just lay down on the couch and be lazy for the night! Jeff has actually already gone to bed early tonight, and I’m sure I’ll fall asleep on the couch soon myself, but I’m looking forward to some chill time all to myself for at least an hour or so…
