Penne Pasta & PB&J

So normally, when Emerson wakes up early in the morning, Hi there Jeff where I will go sit in the living room with her and watch TV until it’s time to get ready for school. Today however, she decided she wanted to just sit in her room by herself with her Kindle. And only lasted for about 1 minute total, but it was still funny.

I picked out her dress for her today, but she wanted to wear the same flamingo shoes from yesterday, but at least they matched a little bit better today 👍🏼

should a good day with her friends, took a nice long nap, and her report said they colored a plate full of thanks. When I asked her about it after school, she said she colored and “plates and forks and knives and spoons, and they made us stay in the lines!”

On our way home, we turned a corner at one point, and Emerson gasped yelled, “I see some very pretty clouds! And she was right! These were the clouds over our house when we got home.

Last time I tried to make spaghetti, I had that weird ground turkey meat that smelled weird and tasted weird, so we didn’t end up eating it. This time, I used ground beef instead, and not only was it fine but no problems, but the ground beef was a nice change from our usual ground turkey, and it was absolutely delicious! I also used a different sauce than normal, and that made it super good too. It was just really good tonight! My picky little toddler though did not want spaghetti, and requested a PB&J with the cuss cut off. So I made her one with my fancy little Pampered Chef press that makes it into a homemade uncrustable, and she ate every bite of it!

She played in scooted around for a little while after dinner, and then we all snuggled up on the couch to watch some of Paw Patrol together.

And look at all these yummy leftovers We still have. Normally I’d be so excited to eat at the very next day, but since we have the day off work for a holiday tomorrow, I’ll have to wait until Thursday to take this bowl of delicious leftovers to work for lunch.

as I was putting the leftovers away, little bit came over and wanted to help, so she grabbed her stool and hopped up and pretended she was cooking in the empty pasta pot.

She chose which book she wanted to read, and then ate some gummies while we read together. She has seen me taking my prenatal gummy vitamins every night for the last few weeks (I can NOT swallow the huge pills, so I have to do the gummies), and she’s wanted some of her own. So last week and I finally ordered her some in our Walmart grocery order, and so we take them at bedtime together every night, and she thinks it’s the best thing.

She She was a little whiny and chatty and fighting bedtime, so it took us a little bit to get her settled down and finally ready for bed. But once I left her room, I didn’t hear anything else from her so I know she must have fallen asleep quickly.

Jeff actually didn’t sleep well last night, so he fell asleep on the couch around 7:30, and then I sent him off to bed around 8:15. I got all the dishes washed in the kitchen cleaned and lit a yummy smelling candle. I’m watching an episode of “When Calls the Heart” while I blog, then heading off to bed myself soon too.
