The girls actually slept in until 8am on Sunday morning, so it was late before we actually got ready and out the door. My parents had recommended Dulce Donuts so we went there, and had to wait in line for 45 minutes! But it was totally worth the wait, for the best raspberry filled donut I’ve ever had in my life.

LDW 2025 – Can Tabs & A Lighthouse

{Over Labor Day Weekend, we took a mini family vacay to St. Simon’s Island. This is the post for Day 1, Saturday, 8/30/25.}
We were up bright and early Saturday morning ton finish packing the last minute things, and get the car all loaded up. The trunk was completely full, but literally half of this was basically can tabs, for our bi-annual donation to the Ronald McDonald House in Jacksonville.

Sprinkles & Sliders

So today we flip-flopped our drop-off girls again, and Jeff took Addie to school by herself, and I took Emerson to her orthodontist check-up appointment. Things went nice and easy, and she will get them taken off in two weeks, on Monday 9/8! She’ll have a spacer/retainer thing to wear after that though, which she will be fitted for that same day.

Sherbet Skies

We had a very early grocery pickup first thing this morning, so we sent Daddy to get that for us. Then we had some cereal for breakfast, and Emerson got very busy making some little rubber band braided bracelets. She’s had this kit for over a year, but we couldn’t figure out how to do it. But this past week at school, a friend showed her, and now she’s a pro!
