Today was a big adventure day, going to the Sandstone Falls, which is part of the New River Gorge National River. There’s a nice little parking area, and an easy hike down a well-maintained wooden boardwalk, with lots of natural trail offshoots. There are also multiple viewing areas from a few different levels, and it was so cool!
Started out the morning with some McDonald’s breakfast in the hotel room, before packing up the cars. The boys came to join us on this trip, so once they were dropped off and their bags shoved in the last remaining inch of space, we set off for the relatively short trip from Rock Hill, SC to the mountains of West Virginia!

Today was the big day – high school graduation for my twin stepsons Ryan and Gabe! They had a graduating class of about 450, but they ran a tight ship, and the surprisingly quick ceremony only lasted about an hour and 15 minutes.

As always, the girls were up bright and early, up to their usual shenanigans. By the time I woke up and came out to the living room, Emmie was in her cheer costume form Halloween, and Addie was only in a diaper. But I convinced them it would be fun to wash my giant sliding glass door, and they honestly liked it and fought each other about staying on their own sides 😂

Look at these adorable matching girlies before church today. I sang on the worship team today, so I was there for rehearsal early, and Jeff did a good job taking these photos when he brought the girls a little later. (He was actually working the tech booth in GC kids, so we were both serving today.)
We had some cereal for breakfast, then Jeff mowed the front yard (look at those lines!) and Emmie helped me clean up all over the house inside. We spent about two hours tidying up the dining room (it was super cluttered) then folding roughly four loads of laundry and getting it all hung up and put away.
