Overalls & Knee-Highs

At home, Addison woke up around 6:30 am, then her and I both fell back asleep around 7am in the recliner, and slept until about 8am. At Nana’s house, Emerson was up and at ’em at 6:45, making breakfast with Nana around 7am, and then baking chocolate chip cookies by 8am! 🙂

Nana said that Emerson made the scrambled eggs, microwaved the sausage, and put the toast in the toaster. I told Emmie she was in charge of breakfast at home from now on if she could do all of that! 😉

Once I got Jeff woken up, I made us some egg sandwiches and coffee for dinner. And I loved getting to drink coffee out of my cute new Harry Potter mug!

By the time we finished breakfast and I cleaned up a little bit, it was time for Addison to have another bottle and a nap. So I fed her and she fell asleep immediately. I decided to just hold her the whole time she slept, and I watched Survivor for about an hour before she woke up again.

I got her dressed and we played a little, and then I kept moving her from thing to thing (play pen, swing, jumper), trying to keep her entertained while I washed dishes and cleaned the living room, dining room and kitchen. Oh, and Jeff had left home around 10am, to go work at one of his side hustle jobs for the day, so it was just me and Addie for a while today.

Around noon, I had a second cup of coffee and we watched “Encato” together a little bit. Then I gave her another bottle and got her back to sleep, and eventually laid her in her crib so I could make lunch and finish up a few chores.

This sweet girl is 9 months old today! She is now 15 pounds (still around the 8th percentile), wearing 6-9month clothes still (some of which are still a little big sometimes). She is now in the “bigger” baby class at school, and it “cruising” around on furniture. She also got her third ear infection this past week, but we’re almost done with the antibiotics. She is the most easy-going baby, and rarely causes us any stress or issues! She’s such a delightful little joy in our lives!

And these adorable little overalls used to be Emerson’s, and I was obsessed with her in them today. Funny thing is though, Emerson wore them when she was closer to 18 months, since she was the tiniest little nugget. Addie is wearing these 6-month overalls at 9months, so she’s tiny too, just not quite as tiny as Emmie was.

After a bit morning all around town and playing everywhere, Emmie napped hard with Nana.

After Addie and I played, I finally put on some “real clothes” at 3pm, fed her another bottle, and then we headed across town to pick up Emmie from Nana’s house. And Addie fell asleep on the car ride…

The girls were so excited to see each other, it was precious!

We picked up our grocery order, then headed back home again.

I fed Addison a bottle again, and she fell asleep, and Emerson played on her Kindle. I called in a to-go order from Bahn Thai, and sent Jeff to pick it up on his way home.

We got one order of Bangkok chicken with white rice, with chicken gyoza & crab rangoon, and we shared everything. Emmie actually had her leftover Chick-fil-A sandwich from lunch (which I re-heated in the air fryer and it came out perfectly), and it was all sooooo good.

She put on my giant fuzzy socks and was dancing around in them, calling them her knee-highs, and told me to take her picture and to take a video of her too.

She was making up this song while eating dinner, and told me to take this video too 🙂

The girls had a super quick bath tonight, since it was already kinda late, and then we went through the bedtime routine.

Emerson had a bug bite (or something?) on her arm that needed some tending to, and she was crazy about letting us near it, since it’s sore and painful. It took a looong time for us to get it taken care of, and then she needed some extra cuddles, so it was about 9:45pm by the time we got her in bed. (Addie had fallen asleep super easily, and was snoozing away in her room.) Today was actually a pretty slow, chill day, but I’m still pretty tired, and definitely ready for bed soon.
