Open House Tour

Today was ballet class this morning, and although you can’t quite tell, Emerson was already wearing her leotard and tutu under her ballerina dress. And of course she was super excited for ballet!

And these little girls were adorable playing together in Addie’s room at drop-off.

Since Jeff and I went out for lunch yesterday, I had the bbq chicken pizza leftovers from two nights ago for my lunch today. But unfortunately, the salad was too close to the freezer section in my tiny office fridge, and the thing was ICE! I thought it I might still be able to eat it, but after the first bite, it was so gross and just like lettuce-ice, I didn’t eat any more of it. I did have some crackers & hummus though, so I got that out instead.

Couple of pictures from school…

When I picked up the girls after work/school, Addison hadn’t finished her last bottle. So I stood outside the car and held it for her, and she just about finished the whole thing, and put herself to sleep during the process.

Jeff met us at the school, and then rode to dinner with us at Firehouse Subs again…

Addison tried a pickle for the first time tonight, and wasn’t sure what to think about it…

And then we went to the open house / tour of Community Leadership Academy, for Emerson for kindergarten next year. It was kind of a last-minute decision after a church friend invited us yesterday, but all three of us liked the tour and liked the school. We were also told about a special scholarship that could pay for 100% of the tuition, so we’re definitely going to be looking into that.

I don’t think that the whole “kindergarten” thing has fully hit me yet, but tonight was just weird. They kept asking us if we had any questions, and I didn’t really, but mostly because I didn’t feel ready enough myself for kindergarten, to know much or know what to ask!

We were out much later than usual, and didn’t even get home until after Emmie’s usual bedtime. So we immediately got in our jammies, and Emmie grabbed some cookies, and we got going on the bedtime routine.

Addison slept in her stroller the whole way through the open house tour, and for a while still once we got home.

After getting Emmie in bed, I got Addie out to get her dressed for bed. I tried feeding her a bottle, but she didn’t really want much of it, and only drank about 2 oz. She was feeling kinda warm, so I had Jeff grab the thermometer to check her temperature. And much to our dismay, poor girl had a fever of 101. Then just about 60 seconds after that, she threw up those 2 oz all over the carpet

Sooo once again, it feels like we can’t quite catch a break. So I’m taking her to see our pediatrician in the morning, get tested and checked for all the things, and we’re praying that it’s nothing!
