It’s getting darker and darker as the seasons are finally starting to change, so we turned on the carport light this morning, and changed up our photo location, for a little bit more light. And we actually got Addie to look up at the camera for a change this time!
We got to school right as Aunt Meggie was leaving, which was good timing, because her and Addie needed to see each other today. Addison was wearing Emerson’s hand-me-down “My Aunt is my BFF” so of course we needed a picture of them together!
And although it looks like they just about walked through a mud puddle at elementary school drop-off, she was sweet and happy, and Emmie did good.
Look at these cute little photos from Addie’s teachers today.
I made BBQ chicken pizzas for dinner tonight (one half of the second one didn’t have any of the red onion & red bell pepper since Emmie won’t eat the veggies), and then we ate outside tonight. I had actually had Jeff air-fry a couple of pieces of plain-but-seasoned chicken right before we got home, and it came out so perfect and delicious. We gotta do that again sometime soon, and just eat it as “plain” fried chicken!
And of course after we finished eating, we had some playtime in the backyard before coming inside. (Random note – we love putting on these YouTube channels with cute scenes and chill jazz music, while we eat dinner or hang out or clean the house. There’s lots of varieties of music & scenery, so we switch it up often. This is the one we listened to tonight.)
We got the girls changed into their jammies, and then while Addie had some bedtime milk, Emmie wanted a cup of hot tea. Well, by the time she finally says it’s an acceptable drinking temp for her, it’s barely even considered warm anymore, but she liked it, so that’s fine with me 🙂 Grandmommie gave us this gigantic bottle of honey recently (it says “one pound pure honey” on the bottle), and not only is it yummy, but it’s also beautiful!
Sisters loving each other good night, before Jeff rocked Addie to sleep and I started on Emmie’s bedtime routine.
And then it was finally time for me to make myself a mug of hot tea as well. I recently got a few new boxes of tea to re-fill my cute little tea box, so I got that restocked while my mug was steeping.
I just watched the most dramatic and emotional episode of “Survivor” I’ve ever seen (three people went down due to heat exhaustion during one challenge, and one guy even had to be evacuated out on a helicopter). Took me twice as long to write this blog post, because I kept getting distracted watching that, while trying to write this. Gonna finish up this episode, and then go hang out with my hubby and watch some more tv. Actually, I just finished my tea, and I think I actually want a second cup…
