Olympic Rings & A Pile of Leaves

Another day at home, in covid-quarantine, and not too much to say about it…

I tried another “TikTok trend” for breakfast today, “pesto eggs,” which were good, but it popped out of the skillet like crazy and was driving me nuts, making a huge mess. Also, I’ve been eating so many tomatoes, because these roma’s were included on accident in my order, so I’ve been trying to make good use of them…

This baby girl only wanted to nap with Mommy today, so I got to watch a few episodes of Survivor during those naps 🙂

We made up a few bags, and made some contact-free deliveries of our oranges this morning.

And on our way back home, we saw the Olympic rings, which I just thought was so super cool! I couldn’t quite get Emerson to understand why it was cool, but I loved it!

I finally got her to nap in her bed for a whopping 20-ish minutes, but it was long enough to get Emerson down for her own nap…

And then she was back up.

And she kept doing this super goofy little smile-head-tilt-on-the-shoulder thing, and it was the funniest, cutest thing, but I never could get a great photo of it…

Jeff held her while I scarfed down some lunch, and then we put her in the swing. I ended up washing up a bunch of dishes, and little miss took another short, 30-minute nap in her swing.

Emmie had a good nap, and woke up after about an hour and a half, and then played and did all sorts of things to entertain herself.

Then we went on a little afternoon walk, and stayed outside playing in the front yard for quite a long time.

Oh also, she had marker on the tip of her nose after drawing on the top of her ring pop, then sniffing it (it was a scented marker), and getting it all over her nose.

SHE IS JUST THE HAPPIEST GIRL! And I just love her so dang much. Look at this face!

Then right before dinner time, Grandmommie and Grammy showed up with a home-cooked meal! We had a pork chop & scalloped potato bake, with creamed corn, black eyed peas, and biscuits, with chicken nuggets for Emmie, and we saved the strawberries for tomorrow.

Plus a cotton candy sampler for Emerson!

Emerson’s bedtime went really smooth, but Addison is still fighting us a little bit. She just only wants to sleep if she’s being held today. Which is sweet and cuddly during the day time, but we need her to sleep in her crib now that it’s almost our bedtime too!
