Nachos at Pancho’s

Started off our morning a little slower and a little later than usual, since Emerson was at the cousin crew sleepover with Grammy & Papa. We slept in till about 8am, and then made some cinnamon rolls & a pot of coffee for breakfast.

Addison helped Daddy write his to-do list for the day….

And then Addie and I went out to Grammy’s house to play for a little bit, have lunch, and then bring big sister back home for nap time this afternoon.

We had to stay just a few minutes longer than the triplets once Aunt Meggie picked them up and left, so that Emmie could have just 5-10 minutes in the bounce house, and with her Grandparents, all by herself.

I got the girls home and down for their naps, and Jeff was working on a bunch of yardwork. I washed dishes, and cleaned up the living room.

Then Addie woke up, and she wanted to share my iced coffee and coffee cake snack with me…

Daddy took this picture from outside on the back patio, of Addie just watching him and being so happy.

Then Jeff had to crawl under the house to look for that leak we heard/saw on the outside of the brick wall the other night. He got quite muddy while under there, but he does think he figured it out. The bad news is, we might have to cut away the under part of our kitchen cabinets to deal with it…

I pulled out all the stuff from underneath the kitchen sink, so he could get a good view of what’s going on in there. We’re not 100% sure yet, but he’s got a good idea of what’s going on, and it’s no so good at this point… So say a little prayer for us while we deal with that over the next few days, this coming week.

He eventually headed off to get a shower and get cleaned up, and the girls and I had some more playtime together, once Emerson woke up from her 2.5-hour nap!

Jeff had worked hard today, and all he wanted was nachos, and of course I was gonna agree to Mexican food. Obviously. But our crazy daughter doesn’t love Mexican food as much as we do, so we got her a Chick-fil-A sandwich on the way to Pancho’s, and she ended up eating all but just a few little bites.

The Insomnia Cookie place is right down the strip from the restaurant, and Emmie saw it while her and I were on a little walk while waiting on our dinner, and I promised her she could have ice cream if she ate a good dinner. And since she ate great, she got to choose some rainbow ice cream to take home.

She didn’t end up eating much of it, but we saved it and put it in the freezer for another time. Addie was asleep in her car seat, so I did bath time for just Emerson by herself. I got her cleaned up (and she let me work on cleaning up her head wound quite a bit more, since there’s still crusty blood stuck in her hair), then got her dressed, and changed Addie’s clothes as well. Jeff was just wiped from so much work outside today, so I did bedtime for both girls, since he fell asleep on the couch. Then I did a super fast run to Walmart for a 9pm grocery order pickup, and got all the cold stuff put away when I got home. Heading to light a candle, turn on Survivor, and repaint my fingernails again, before heading off to bed 🙂
