Midnight Book Release Party

We had to divide and conquer on Monday morning – which meant Jeff took Addie to the gas station before school…

And I took Emerson to her annual cardiologist appointment. They did an EKG and an echo-cardiogram, and she did great, and everything is looking great as well!

And then I treated her (and myself 😉 ) to a nice little breakfast sandwich at Freshroots, before dropping her off at school.

I had some afternoon tea, with caffeine, to start prepping for a long night ahead…

I picked up the girls after school, and then made another new TikTok recipe, for creamy sausage and gnocchi soup. And it was sooo good! Emerson loved every bite of it, but Addison didn’t like the gnocchi. I loved it all!

Jeff had gone over to a friends house from church to help them with some tech stuff, but he got home a little bit after we finished dinner. I got the girls down to bed just on time, and then I went out on the town, later than I’ve been out in a looong while. I met up with my friend Kristin at Barnes & Noble for the midnight release party of book six of my favorite book series! Tuesday was publication day, but Monday night they had games, coloring pages, trivia, a costume contest, prizes, and finally the book release at midnight!

We wanted some tasty drinks and a little pick-me-up around 10pm, but without the full caffeine of espresso or coffee, so she got a matcha and I got a chai, and that was just what we needed.

I actually won one of the raffles, so I got a pencil case (that tan pouch in the plastic below), but they also gave us cool book marks and those pink rubber bracelets.

Oh and I also bought this cute little Feyre Funko Pop character, to join all the books in this series on my bookshelf, and she’ll look so cute!

I did actually stay up way too late reading when I got home, but the good news is, I took the day off work way far in advance, specifically so that I could stay home and read on book release day! So that’s what I’m off to do now, just wanted to get this post written first 🙂
